About Our Team
Brian Payne RDT
Brian graduated in England in 1975 before moving to Germany for further training. In 1981
Brian moved to Penticton, Canada with his wife Elizabeth working as a ceramist in a busy
dental office before becoming an RDT in 1984. In 1986 Brian and Elizabeth established Elan Dental Ceramics.
Brian continued his education by taking hands-on courses from most of the leading master
technicians around the world including certification from the Kois Institute.
Our Team
Martin Knoll
Martin and his wife Vera decided to call Penticton home in October 2020. Martin's career startedÂ
in 1983 in Germany. In 1991 he obtained his master's degree, majoring in Economics and BusinessÂ
Management, Accounting and Tax, Prosthetics, Orthodontics, Anatomy and Material Science.
He successfully built and ran a 12-man laboratory for 27 years until he sold it prior to emigrating to Canada.
Martin currently specializes in custom anteriors, Emax-pressed veneers, implant restorations and gold crowns.
Elan is very excited about Martins decision to become a member of the team.
Colin Moffatt
Colin Moffatt, Brian's stepson has worked for Elan since he graduated from Pen High inÂ
2011. He has worked his way up the ranks and accompanied Brian on many courses taughtÂ
by some of the world's leading technicians. Colin continues to educate himself on social media
where he also shares his work. Colin's attention to detail is exceptional making him one of the
top ceramists in the Okanagan Valley. He specializes in full zirconia, layered posteriors, customÂ
anteriors and implant restorations.
Luke Yoda
Luke joined Elan in 2021, he is currently running the model department pouring plaster modelsÂ
and printing digital models. He is also responsible for all scanning, milling of wax, pmma and zirconia. Â
His willingness to learn and grow will be a great asset to Elan going forward.
Gail Moffatt
Gail Moffatt
Brian's wife and Colin's Mom has been receptionist and bookkeeper at Elan Dental since 1991.
She continues to organize the daily workflow and accounting and is the friendly voice of Elan.
Dylan Lindelauf
Dylan joined Elan Dental in 2020 as our I.T. and design specialist. He has eight years of experience
working with Itero, 3Shape, Primescan, Medit and Exocad software as well as Implant designs from
Atlantis and Straumann. He currently lives in Nakusp and works remotely from home.
Hal Hamilton
Hal moved to Penticton in 2019 and is the owner of Nexgen Dental Laboratory and an affiliate ofÂ
Elan Dental. With over 35 years of experience in the industry, Hal is a tremendous resource when
planning combination cases, as well as being an advisor for all denture-related cases.
